A National Seminar entitled “To educate in difficult times: school, memory and citizenship”, took place last August 18th at the Teresian School in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, with the participation of 94 persons coming from eleven cities of three Brazilian states and a representative from Spain.

The XVII General General of the Teresian Association, gathered in the House Santa María de Los Negrales, elected Maite Uribe Bilbao, as the President for 2012 - 2018.
“Aquí, qué chilero” (How happy here!). These were the words of one of the many children that participated on Friday, July 27, to celebrate the feast of St. Pedro Poveda in the Socio-Educational Project “Xajanaj Kahalepana” in Chinautla, Guatemala.

St. Pedro Poveda sets an example of fortitude and courage in the confession of his faith when he surrendered his life in martyrdom that 28 of July of 1936, in Madrid, declaring to those that drove him off: I am a minister of the Lord” said Rev. Lluis Martinez Sistach, Cardinal Archbishop of Barcelona and President of the Episcopal Commission for Liturgy, who presided the Eucharist concelebrated with several priests and many people that attended the celebration of St. Pedro Poveda’s Feast, July 28.
The XVII General Assembly of the TA is being celebrated in Spain, in the city of Los Negrales, at the Santa Maria House of Spirituality, located about a 30 mile distance from the city of Madrid. This is the place where the remains of the founder St. Pedro Poveda are venerated and whose commemoration feast is precisely July 28.
BOGOTÁ, Colombia. The following is a summary of the work carried out by the Social Educational Movement of the Teresian Association in Colombia at a gathering on June 15, 2012.
At the request of the Archdiocese of Seville, on Saturday, May 26, 2012, on the Eve of Pentecost, a relic of Victoria Díez was placed inside the Cross of the new evangelization in the Cathedral of Seville. “It is impressive to think that Victoria Díez is close to other saints and Blessed of Seville in the thrust for a new evangelization and that her relic stays permanently inside the cross.”
Once again, the annual Sporting Event of the Teresian Association (EDIT) gathered almost five hundred high school students to foster sharing, collaboration, and friendship among the students and teachers of 19 centers that are managed by the Teresian Association in Spain
