COCHABAMBA, Bolivia.
Thanks to the collaboration of the educational community of Pedro Poveda School, Cochabamba, and of friends from around the world, a church dedicated to St. Pedro Poveda is being built in the development Magisterio Urbano de Cochabamba, Bolivia.
On July 28, feast of St. Pedro Poveda, students, teachers, staff and families of the school that bears his name in the city of Cochabamba took part in a pilgrimage to the place where the temple is under construction.
The Eucharist was celebrated there and the founder of the Teresian Association was remembered: his profile as a priest and teacher as well his final surrender through faith in Jesus Christ.
At the offertory of the Mass several students and attendees presented their offerings dedicated to the construction. From the smallest to the largest, each one presented their contributions as a gesture of solidarity and support, which moved the audience.
The educational community Pedro Poveda School of Cochabamba and the Teresian Association in Bolivia, which promote various socio-educational projects of large impact on society and service to different groups, is grateful for the support they have received in a campaign driven by Andalusia and Extremadura, Spain.
They hope that other contributions will be added in order to finish the temple and support various projects.
