VALENCIA, Spain
On November 29, Cardinal Antonio Cañizares blessed a city square in honor of Saint Pedro Poveda, priest and educator, in Valencia. The square is located between Vall dŽUixó Street and Vicent Clavel Street.
In December 2012, the City Council of Valencia had agreed to dedicate a city square to the founder of the Teresian Association to commemorate the first centennary of this Association.
The following people were in attendance: members of the Teresian Association, families, friends, and students of El Armelar School; the president of Casal Fallero, as well as “falleras” of the neighborhood; and Fr. Miguel Hernández, pastor of St. Teresa Jornet parish which is located near the square.
