AVILA, Spain.
On the last day of July, the “Teresa and Interreligious Dialogue" International Award was awarded to Brazilian Professor Lúcia Pedrosa-Padua. Shewill receive 6,000 € and a commemorative plaque. The title of her work is: “Santa Teresa de Jesus: contribuições ao diálogo inter-religioso e interfaces com o hinduísmo moderno, através da Yoga de Swami Sri Yukteswar e de Paramahansa Yogananda”.
More than 40 works of great quality from very different parts of the world have been submitted.
Dr. Lucia Pedrosa-Padua is "Professor at the Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro. She holds a PhD in Systematic Theology (PUC-Rio); a Bachelor’s Degree in theology from the Jesuit Department of Theology of Belo Horizonte (1992) and another one in Economics from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (1985). She coordinates Ataendi, the Center of Spirituality of the Teresian Association in Brazil dedicated to the human and Christian formation of the laity."
This award, along with others, will be presented in Avila (Spain) at the University of Mysticism (CITeS) during the World Congress on St. Teresa to be held in September 2015. Several of the works received will be published in a commemorative volume, including the award-winning work by Dr. Lucia Pedrosa-Padua. Congratulations!
