COVADONGA, Asturias, Spain.
A picture of Saint Pedro Poveda has been put on display in the Church of La Riera, near Covadonga, after consulting with the parish priest, Fr. José Luis Sánchez, Canon of the Basilica de Covadonga.
According to testimony, Pedro Poveda," often went to La Riera to celebrate the Eucharist and to hear confessions” in his years as a Canon of the Basilica de Covadonga, between 1906 and 1912,
The picture was put on display in August 2014. In February a brief biography and prayer to St. Pedro Poveda were added. Members of the Teresian in Covadonga were in attendance.
