The film POVEDA was chosen for the inaugural session of the XIII International Film Festival with Values (FIC) Guadalajara Mexico 2017, with the motto "Leaders create more leaders." The festival takes place from November 9-26. POVEDA was selected from among 90 films.

On October 14th, 2017, a new church, as a meeting place to welcome pilgrims on their way to the Sanctuary of El Cobre, was dedicated in Barajagua, Cuba. A relic of Saint Pedro Poveda, martyr, was placed on the altar of this new temple.

JAÉN, Spain.
In the city of Jaén, the centenary commemoration of the first diocesan and civil approval of the Teresian Association, in 1917, has been well remembered. Among others, the University of Jaén offered an "Exhibition of unique documents from its General Archive and a portrait of Josefa Segovia". In this context, the latest biography on María Josefa Segovia (“María Josefa Segovia, la mujer de los ojos abiertos”) was presented.

COCHABAMBA, Bolivia.
With the theme: Educate in Difficult Times: Deepen, Systematize, Influence, Innovate, a Seminar on the Socio-Educational Proposal of the Teresian Association (TA) in America took place in Bolivia on October 4-8, 2017. Forty-two people from 11 countries participated. They wanted to go over and evaluate the process from 2013 to 2018. Maite Uribe (TA President) and Elisa Estévez (Member of the TA Governing Council) attended the event. At the end of the meeting, the participants left with the desire and commitment to open and strengthen new paths of transformation of that which is human, with the strength of the Gospel.

The hall of the Museum of Covadonga was filled by the number of attendees at the ceremony in which representatives of the Teresian Association (TA) presented an annual votive offering in Covadonga and shared their testimonies in the morning of Sunday, October 7.

At the Multi-stakeholder hearing of the United Nation’s preparatory process for the global compact for safe, orderly and regular migration on July 26, Patricia Stockton, representative of the Teresian Association (TA) at the UN, presented a statement written by a group of young people who identify themselves as “dreamers and doers.” They gathered in Madrid for a project organized by EDIW (Education for an Interdependent World).
