The University/Research Group of the Teresian Association (TA) met in Granada from August 25-29 at Colegio Mayor Santafé. They addressed studies on humanism and genetics, mutation of the virus of dualism, new diseases of humanism, and the humanism of Pedro Poveda in Guadix. They also visited the Alhambra, rejuvenated and embellished, and walked through some notable places of the city.

The Socio-educational Movement (SEM), "Educating in Difficult Times" in Brazil, celebrates ten years. In this context, the X National Seminar was held last August 19 with the theme "National Curricular Common Base tensions and challenges" at the Teresian School in Rio de Janeiro with much participation.

MADRID, Spain.
The portraits of eight Saints associated with the Archdiocese of Madrid, Spain, including St. Pedro Poveda, are the most outstanding feature of the new chapel of the Archdiocesan Curia, inaugurated on September 18, 2017, by the Archbishop of Madrid, Cardinal Carlos Osoro. He said at the blessing ceremony: "May this chapel be a special place in this Pastoral Center and may it really mark the direction of our life."

JAÉN, Spain.
Since this year marks the centennial of the diocesan and civil approval of the Teresian Association in Jaén,1917, its founder Pedro Poveda, the saint from Linares, had an important relevance in the presentations of the XXX Congress of the Association of Archivists of the Church in Spain, September 11-15. Attendees also visited Guadix to learn about the altruistic work of Father Poveda.

The University Residence for Women (RUF, Spanish initials) of the Teresian Association in Lima, Peru, is celebrating 70 years of service to Peruvian society. A special celebration took place in August.

MANILA, Philippines.
A seminar-workshop on "Teachers as Guidance Counselors, Companions in the Journey,” took place on August 20th at the Victoria Díez Center for Culture, Formation and Development in Dapitan, Sampaloc District, Manila. This was organized by members of the Teresian Association (TA) working in public schools. The event was part of the celebrations of the feast of Blessed Victoria Díez, teacher, catechist and martyr, whose feast is celebrated on August 12.

A portrait of St. Pedro Poveda was unveiled and blessed at Our Lady of Fatima Parish (OLFP) -Mandaluyong (Philippines) as part of the celebration of St. Pedro Poveda’s feast on July 28. Also, the movie POVEDA was screened in the Parish Pastoral Council Hall, which will be renamed “Pedro Poveda Conference Room” (PPC).
