GUATEMALA CITY, Guatemala.
A Seminar organized by the Socio-Educational group of the Teresian Association in America, Educating in Difficult Times, was held in Guatemala City, from October 8-11. Among the participants were: twenty representatives from ten countries of the Americas, members of the SEP Commission, members of InteRed, of IEPS, and of the Critical Edition of the writings of Pedro Poveda. Mercedes Ruiz-Giménez, a member of the official Spanish delegation at the 70th General Assembly of the United Nations, in her capacity as President of the Coalition of NGOs for Development, reflects on what happened at the Assembly and analyzes the challenges facing humanity in the coming years to achieve the so-called Agenda 2030. She suggests an integrated approach to international policy, the implementation of national plans, as well as international policies aimed at meeting the objectives of Sustainable Development.

SANTIAGO DE CHILE, Chile.
The American and Caribbean Congress on Theology and Spirituality, Saint Teresa: mysticism and prophecy, was held in Santiago, Chile, on September 4-5, 2015. One hundred and fifty people from different countries participated. The papers, songs, and dance were a sharing of life and experiences. The Congress was held at the gymnasium of the Teresian School while the school was in session. Leonor Araujo writes a vivid testimony about the event. Elisabeth Münzebrock, from Munich, Germany, shares her impressions on the mass exodus of Syrian refugees arriving in Europe, fleeing the horror of war in Syria and the expansion of so-called Islamic State. It is the largest migration flow since World War II. Only between January 1 and September 1, 2015 more than 350,000 people have reached European shores. They are traveling in subhuman conditions.

The staff of the University Residence for Women (RUF) in Lima shares the reorientation process undertaken since May 2015. The current project provides comprehensive formation, including human and Christian values, to young people from remote and vulnerable areas of the country.

SUCRE, Bolivia.
Victoria Diez School in Sucre celebrated its feast during several days. After almost 20 years since its inception, the school has 1,000 students and is located in a low socio-economic area of the city. It serves a population of Quechua immigrants. Alumni reviewing photographs, singing accompanied by the organ, toasts, sports tournaments, and retreats were some of the many activities. The involvement of families and teachers has been a feature of the celebrations.

TAINAN, Taiwan.
A group of 8 students and three teachers of Li Ming High School have had an experience within the "International English Enhancement Program" in Tainan (Taiwan). The Teresian Association (TA) works in that Catholic school, run by Franciscan priests. Program activities have taken place in Manila (Philippines) from July 1-12, 2015, with great satisfaction of participants who have requested to return.

On the last day of July, the “Teresa and Interreligious Dialogue" International Award was awarded to Brazilian Professor Lúcia Pedrosa-Padua. Shewill receive 6,000 € and a commemorative plaque. The title of her work is: “Santa Teresa de Jesus: contribuições ao diálogo inter-religioso e interfaces com o hinduísmo moderno, através da Yoga de Swami Sri Yukteswar e de Paramahansa Yogananda”.
