On the occasion of the liturgical feast of Saint Pedro Poveda, Fr. Antonio Fajardo, Pastor of Saint Michael Church, has dedicated a space for the veneration of Saint Pedro Poveda, the Apostle of the Caves, at Saint Michael Parish. The reason for choosing this place is that the work of the young priest Poveda in the early twentieth century in the upper area of the Caves was linked to the parish of Saint Michael. Poveda was appointed pastor, but he never took over this position.

With a turnout of over forty participants, the XXXIX Week on Fellowship and Cultural Exchange was held in Malaga from July 19-23. This is an annual event that brings together a group of people who wish to learn and incorporate new ideas and practices that arise in the defense of human rights through dialogue, fellowship, and exchange of experiences while at the same time enjoying a few days of rest by the sea. The theme of the conference was: "Debate on Work." The event was organized by a team of the Teresian Association (TA Andalucía-Extremadura, Education and Culture).

On the feast of St. Pedro Poveda, a preview of a movie about his life was presented. Coming from different corners of the world, several hundred members of the Teresian Association, collaborators and friends came together on July 28 in Los Negrales, Madrid, to celebrate the liturgical feast of Saint Pedro Poveda. This celebration had a more international atmosphere this year because representatives from thirty countries where the Teresian Association is present gathered here. The novelty of the meeting, which began with a Mass, was enjoying the first fruits of a film about the life of Poveda, which is in the making, presented by its director, producer, and lead actor.

GENEVA, Switzerland.
The 29th session of the Human Rights Council HRC) is being held in Geneva from June 15 to July 3. Like a breath of fresh air that renews environments, there have been discussions on migration and the cost of the long travels for migrants. There have been talks about dignity, the value of people, the causes of these massive escapes into the unknown. Policies that are in place have analyzed and, above all, there has been talk about changes that have to happen in each and every one of us.

On June 23, the Dominam Commendatariam medal of the Order of St. Gregory the Great was awarded to Mª Encarnación González. This is a papal recognition, "a special honor given to men and women in recognition of their personal service to the Holy See and the Roman Catholic Church." María Encarnación González Rodríguez has received this distinction in recognition of her twelve years of service as Director of the Office for the Causes of the Saints of the Spanish Episcopal Conference.

GUADIX (Granada), Spain.
Pedro Poveda Socio-Cultural Center has closed this academic year with a public exhibition at the premises of the Office of Information and Tourism in Guadix. It was inaugurated on June 8 with the attendance of a large audience from the city, members of the Municipal Corporation and Acting Mayor. A sample of major works of the workshop participants throughout the year are displayed. The Center, sponsored by the Teresian Association, continues to serve the city of Guadix since 1982. In the 2014-2015 Academic year, ninety-six women and forty children have participated and have regularly taken advantage of the educational offerings of the Center.
