“Un hombre bajaba de Jerusalén a Jericó. Gestos de Misericordia” (A Man Went from Jerusalem to Jericho. Gestures of Mercy) is the title of a book originally written in Italian by Dr. Annunziata and Fr. Paganelli and now published in Spanish by Editorial Sal Terrae. The authors relate their missionary experience in “villas miseria” and the Amazon Jungle, in Peru. On April 6th, it was presented in Jaén at the Headquarters of the Teresian Association.

Linares, Jaén, Spain
On April 27, The President of the Teresian Association, Uribe Maite Bilbao, opened an exhibition commemorating the first anniversary of the presence of the Teresian Association, founded by Saint Pedro Poveda in 1911 in the city of Linares. About a hundred people from different parts of Spain attended the event, including Concha Romera, director of the Teresian Association in Spain.

Twenty-four young people had an experience of silence, prayer, and of finding themselves the weekend of April 13-14 during a workshop on "Meditation and Prayer." This workshop was facilitated by Elia Fleta and organized by TA (Teresian Association) Youth. The experience took place in Galapagar, province of Madrid.

On May 9, the “Hermandad del Refugio” (Brotherhood of Shelter) of which St. Pedro Poveda was a member, celebrated a Mass of Thanksgiving at the Royal Church of Saint Anthony of the Germans to mark the tenth anniversary of the canonization of the founder of the Teresian Association (TA).

O May 4th, 2003, the Colon Plaza in Madrid was transformed into an open and universal temple. The Pope John Paul II proclaimed the priest and founder, Pedro Poveda, a saint. Ten years after that event we would like to remember this event collectively.
