The Teresian Association in Luxembourg has begun a process of preparation for the 5th Centenary of the birth of St. Teresa of Jesus, which will be celebrated next year. This process started in Avila with an encounter this past February 7-8, under the title of “Teresa of Avila: Friendship and prayer, a love story.”

Teresa Berrueta facilitated a workshop on “Aproximación a Teresa de Jesús desde sus escritos” (An approach to Teresa of Jesus through her writings) organized by the Teresian Association in Valladolid. This event took place as part of the preparations for the fifth centenary of the birth of St Teresa, which will be celebrated in 2015.

"While we have time, let us do good," concluded Fr. Agustín Fernández Buj when giving his testimony in the Covadonga Offering on May 29, 2011. Time has been short for him due to an unexpected illness. Today, when we miss him, his life becomes even brighter and inspires feelings, prayers, and words. Loreto Ballester, former President of the Teresian Association from 2000- 2012, describes "the priestly style of Augustín” and his affinity with the charism of St. Pedro Poveda, as she reflects on the gift of priestly friends for the Teresian Association.

On January 10th the book “El Colegio Mayor Femenino “María de Molina” (1931-1975) Por una educación universitaria integral, ” (The Female University Residence Maria Molina" (1931-1975) For a comprehensive University Education)" by Dr. Sofia Rodriguez, was presented. The author received her Ph.D. in Contemporary History from the University of Valladolid (UVa).

Another celebration of the 50th anniversary of the TA (Teresian Association) presence in Taiwan was held on November 30th in Tainan, the diocese where we were invited 52 years ago and where we have had our own center for the last 48 years. Anna Maria Donnarumma, specialist in planning and project management, has done an interpretative reading of “Alrededor de un Proyecto,” (About a Project) which is a text written by St. Pedro Poveda and published in 1913. At a meeting held on December 3rd at the headquarters of "Villa Ximenes" of the Teresian Association in Rome, she presented it with the title of “Progettualitá educativa ed incidenza sociale in Pedro Poveda Castroverde. Una lettura interpretativa di “Alrededor de un Proyecto.” The author wanted to highlight the 100th anniversary of Poveda’s publication.
